COMPLETED 3:00AM EST (Sept 14): The maintenance has been successfully completed. No further downtimes are expected as part of the work we did today. We will do minor updates in our management network during the morning but these will have no impact in the production network.
Thanks for your patience! If you have any question do not hesitate to contact us.
UPDATE 1:50AM EST (Sep 14): We have completed the part of the maintenance that required some downtimes. We haven’t checked the logs in details but we estimate a maximum of 6 minutes of downtime for some customers, while others had only seconds. If you are experiencing any issue with your site please open an Urgent ticket and we are going to investigate rigth away.
UPDATE 1:10AM EST (Sep 14): During the next 30 minutes, we will experience intermittent downtimes on some hosts and nodes while we reconnect them to the new switches. We will be testing on every step to make sure everything works properly.
UPDATE 11:30PM EST: Maintenance has started and we are testing one more time before connecting existing servers to the new switches. We will post an update shortly before the downtime required to reconnect the servers.
UPDATE 8:30PM EST: We are ready to start the maintenance as scheduled at 11PM EST. We will be posting periodic updates in this page. If you have any question please contact us before 11PM, we won’t be responding to support requests until the maintenance is completed.
Please be advised of the following scheduled maintenance window for our Peer1 Montreal facility:

Start Time: September 13rd, 2013, 11PM EST (September 14th, 3AM GMT).
End Time: September 14rd, 2013, 1AM EST (September 14th, 5AM GMT).

During this maintenance, we are going to install new switches in our cabinets (Juniper EX series) and will connect most of the existing servers to these new switches. Short downtimes are to be expected during the maintenance but rest assured we have carefully planned every step to minimize the downtimes and we will continue working hard during the next few days to prepare a smooth transition to the new switches. We don’t expect any customer to experience more than 3 minutes of total downtime during the maintenance.

Should you have any questions please contact our team at support@speedyrails.com and we will be happy to provide more details.

IMPORTANT: We can’t guarantee we will respond to support requests during the maintenance window, we will be hard at work to make minimize the downtime in your sites, please follow our updates here in the status page.
