EdgeCast: Notice of Changes to FTP Infrastructure

On Wednesday, November 14, EdgeCast will be implementing a new system that will limit the number of simultaneous FTP connections per customer to a maximum of 100 connections per account. This action is necessary to improve the reliability of FTP authentication for users, and will prevent our FTP servers from being inundated with hundreds of simultaneous logins.

In order to avoid the possibility of reaching the maximum number of sessions per minute when uploading numerous small files and to ensure reliability, we advise users to pipeline multiple files in each individual FTP session, rather than creating a new session for each upload.
