9PM EST: Final Update from EdgeCast

Please read below the final update from EdgeCast regarding Hurricane Sandy:

This is EdgeCast’s fourth update for our locations in New York and New Jersey.  The data centers are on generator power and there is enough fuel for 76 hours with additional reserves standing by.  Utility teams are trying to bring city power back on and we have been assured that it will happen as soon as possible.

All through the weather event, EdgeCast servers were up and serving production traffic and no contingency plans had to be activated.  This will be the last update unless there are any changes in the restoration efforts.
