Please read below the notice sent by EdgeCast, our CDN service provider, regarding Hurricane Sandy:

Please be advised that Hurricane Sandy is making landfall on the  east coast of the United States.  We have received reports that our data centers in the New York and New Jersey region have lost city and grid power and are currently working on generator power.

EdgeCast Networks will continue to monitor the situation and activate contingency plans should the situation continue to deteriorate.

We have also confirmed with Peer1 that Hurricane Sandy should have minimal impact on our network in Montreal cause if somehow NYC and WDC data center goes down, traffic destined to MTL that originally traverses through either one of these paths would just get rerouted, so at worst we should only see latency changes.
