10:20AM EST: UPDATE Peer1 - NYC

Earlier this morning Peer1 published in their status forum (http://forums.peer1.com/viewtopic.php?f=37&t=7532) that after attempting to arrange temporary diesel fuel storage and pumps damaged by flooding in the datacenter’s building basement, Peer1 will implement a controlled shutdown of NY Data Center at 10:45 ET.

As previously mentioned, traffic destined to our Montreal network that originally traverses through the NYC datacenter will get rerouted, some latency changes should be expected but no downtime.
